Beatrix ran away from home and joined the circus. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter weaves together indie folk, alternative rock, and chamber pop. Her debut album Vertigo was produced in several basements in Brooklyn and released independently in 2024. Her intricate musical arrangements reflect her training in classical music and jazz. The album has received airplay from NPR World Café, KCRW and WXPN.

“I’m an acrobat walking the tightrope, trying not to fall. I’m a clown, exaggerating my expressions to dazzle an audience. I’m a lion jumping through rings of fire, appearing brave yet feeling I have no choice,” Beatrix shares. She is currently recording her sophomore LP, and it’s her best work yet.
